Whanau Day

Yesterday was whanau day, it was a day where your grandparents come to school to see what you do for learning. Man it was a blast! Well it all started at 9:30 am when we had a powhiri for all the grandparents and we sang a few songs. After the powhiri we went back to class and did a little work till morning tea.

After morning tea the house groups green, red, yellow and blue had a little game called ripper rugby. When we had finished playing rippa rugby it was lunchtime and I was running around and all of a sudden I see my Nanna and I went to hug her.

After lunchtime finished we had to into the library and finish the day like real Maori we finished with some more songs and a little haka.

After we had sang to the grandparents we had to pack up. It was  boring because it took for ages but after we finished cleaning we had to sit down to go home on the bus and it was a long wait but it was worth it.
